Wake Up Wichita Falls | Texoma Community Credit Union
Give us some credit! We found another great host for Wake Up Wichita Falls. This month's host is Texoma Community Credit Union. They are a well known staple in our community and they would like to show off their newly remodeled location near the base.
More about our host:
TCCU has been a part of the Texoma area for nearly 60 years. They began serving members in 1953 when a group of federal civil service employees at Sheppard Air Force Base formed the National Federation of Federal Employees Credit Union.
Over time, they increased their membership base to any person who lives or works in the 11 county Texoma area. Texoma Community Credit Union has grown from a group of SAFB civilian employees who sought a better method of banking, to a group of approximately 12,000 members who continue to make our organizational founder’s dreams come true. They are proud of their rich history in the Texoma community. They are also proud that so many members still believe in a better way of doing financial business. They too still believe. They believe in you.
“Credit unions, unlike many other participants in the financial services market, are exempt from Federal and most State taxes because credit unions are member-owned, democratically operated, not-for- profit organizations generally managed by volunteer boards of directors and because they have the specified mission of meeting the credit and savings needs of consumers, especially persons of modest means.”
